Is there a secret agenda in the techno music industry that lasts longer than we can even imagine?
Like in every new rising industry, at the very first few indications that this is a potential money bag, the thirsty money diggers catch the ride on the train.
How I analyse the evolution of the techno music genre and the underground scene myself. ⤵️
Out of the heads of money diggers.
There's this new trend that seems to spread quickly among the youngsters. Let's just take Europe this time, for example. There is already a huge crowd involved, but there is something not beneficial about this type of crowd. Their main focus is on the music itself - it's all about the sound.
Over a period of time, money diggers noticed a big problem standing in their way.
This style, this sound is not reachable to wide range of people.
So how to adjust it then and make it listenable 💭???
A bit slower tempo, easy going and of course, regular breaks throughout the sets. With the intention of making it more acceptable to a variety of music tastes. For example, people who don't have special connections to music or people who can't hear it on a deeper level, people who don't give a huge importance to music in their life. The types that are more flexible in the way that they go to all sorts of events / parties, more because of the friends, people or the venues. Breaks are coming in handy here. Sets with minimal and short breaks that go fluently the whole time could be too much for many above-listed people.
This one quote caught my eye. (Unfortunately, I didn't save the writer's name or the page where I found it, but I find it so powerful and accurate) - I don't want it to stay hidden.
“Business techno, to me, is like elevator music. It blends in, is inoffensive to 99% of people, and gets the job done of not being quiet in the room. I don’t mind it, but I’ll never seen it out.”
I speculate these kinds of huge festival - places, mass events and party places, islands (like Ibiza) that exist today, were well planned years ago.
The scene just needed to go through years of changes, mass marketing strategies and some time for this commercial business techno sound to break through. Years of all kinds of unimportant made-up instruments, tools, stories in connection to the name techno being constantly pushed, thrown at you on internet platforms. Making this commercial sound trendy and popular. And here comes the money, baby. Nicely, like flies on shit, all sorts of characters coming in this scene. Make something trendy and represent it to the public like it is already a big deal - the mass will follow.
🆕🆕🆕 All of this has already happened years back.
The most recent generation is so hyped on "hard" music, but in all their hardness, they too don't leave overly long and constantly repeated break behind.
So, the sets/tracks sound wonderful. 🔊 2-3 minutes “Tuc-Tuc” then minute and a half break again 2-3 minutes “Tuc-Tuc” then minute and a half break…
Basically, the wheels on the bus go round and round.
Rumor has it that those tracks are perfect for making Tiktok-videos. I'm not the expert, YOU tell me - are they?😅
Now you are probably reading through and thinking to yourself; wait a minute, this style, this "break thing" sounds familiar to me.
Yeaah. The EDM - Big-Festival - Main - Stage is now being rocked in clubs.
